Main Characters

 

Kira Yamato (image above)  : hero of the series, coordinator, 16 years and pilot of the strike and the freedom, student. It is around him that the story is built. He offers his assistance to the forces of earth alliance to protect his friends naturals Tolle, Miri, Ssigh, Kazui and Fllay (1st love relationship). Not having never wanted to make the war and even less against his childhood friend Athrun , his feelings will pull about him during the first part of the series, until he heards, thanks to Lacus Clyne (2nd love relationship?), that most important is to fight for what he believes right. It will be alive at the oddment. He plays the prototype of the anti-hero who is not one. The perfect hero with the right thoughts.

Athrun Zala  :

Hero of the series, coordinator, 16 years, son of president Patrick Zala, pilot of the aegis and justice, elite soldier of Zaft then comodor. After the death of his mother Eleanor Zala in Junius 7 he engages in the army of Zaft. He is officially promised in marriage to Lacus Clyne, for which he feels friendship and later admiration.

It will have the role of recovering or of destroying the strike, and the vessel of fight archangel, only machines that the attack of Zaft on Heliopolis had not recuperated. He will meet Cagalli Yula Ashha, daughter of the leader of Orb and twin sister of Kira, on an little deserted island. She will be decisive with Lacus Clyne for his decisions to come.

During a fight, after the loss of one of his teamates because of Kira, he will try to kill his friend by destroying their two gundam. His engagements against his friend, him-self, his feelings of revenge etc... will carry out him to realize that the war does far too many damage and that the cause for which he fought was not right. He will desert ZAFT in company of Dearka and will help the third faction as a fighter against his former comrades in arms with Kira. The fact that he is the son of the leader of Zaft and Plant does not facilitate the things. Of a nice and given but slightly suicidal nature, he is a captain with the right orders and an excellent pilot. He will finish the end of the story in life and with Cagalli. He is one as of the my favorite characters.

Cagalli Yula Ashha (image above) :

heroin of the series, 16 years, daughter of the leader of Orb Uzumi Ashha, General of the armies of Orb at the time of the attack against her country, moral leader of the country after the sacrifice of her father and pilot of mobile armor and of the red strike.

She meets Kira for the first time at Heliopolis, then in the desert where she will help him to be gotten out of a difficult situation. Not knowing anything at the beginning of their fraternity, their relation is ambiguous, they feel strong feelings one towards the other. Her meeting with Athrun will cause at the young man a catch. To the wire of confrontations and adventures, increasingly strong bonds will be woven between them. She will play the intermediary between Kira and Athrun, an essential guide, and a certain manner a protective woman. She is of a naturalness voluntary, generous, go-ahead type and real tomboy, enthusiastic and characterial she is one of the strong women of the series. She will finish alive in company of Athrun. It is my favorite female character.

Lacus Clyne (image above)  :

heroin of the series, 16 years, daughter of the Clyne leader before than the hability passes to Zala, been engaged officially to Athrun Zala. Plant Popstar, she is deeply liked and admired of her people.

The attack of her vessel by earth alliance, when she had to prepare the commemorations of Junius 7, will make her recover by Kira and embark in the archangel. She will offer the only moment of softness in space for the young pilot who will risk the court martial, to give her back to Athrun during their fighters in space.

She will recover Kira after the explosion of the aegis and the strike, and will set him bach his feet. She will help it to flee from Plant with the very new MS of ZAFT the freedom. She will also push Athrun to be called in question : acts of his father and the army. She will be accused of high treason and her father will be assassinated. She will continue her fight to stop this war of extermination. Accompanied by Andrew Wardfield and the Clyne faction made up of former soldiers of ZAFT, she will steal the eternal, vessel of transport for the freedom and justice. She will finish alive with a traumatized Kira. She is of a nice, generous and given naturalness. Although she makes small girl, she is much more mature than that does not appear with first meeting. She is the perfect heroin with the right advices and decisions.

Raw le Klueze  (image above) :

the masked man of the serie and malicious, the new type (?) and pilot of the MS cigue and providence. He works to push the two factions in their end and to lead them to a mutual destruction. He is the superior of the elites of ZAFT and the " faithful " right arm of Patrick Zala. He has contacts with blue cosmos, to which he will give informations on the neutron jammer cancellor, thus obliging the naturals to be used once again the nuclear weapon against Plant.

He is supposed being the sick clone of the father of Mwu Fllaga, he has neither past nor future, whence his destroying madness. He is perceived by his subordinates like a dangerous and charismatic man. He will be killed by Kira and then be pulverized in the explosion of the genesis. He is the character whom I hate more among all the malicious ones that I could see.
